Sinopsis

Cerita Gantz ini sendiri bermula ketika Kei Kurono dan Masaru Kato tewas tertabrak kereta ketika hendak menyelamatkan orangtua di rel kereta api. Ternyata mereka berdua masuk ke sebuah ruangan dimana terdapat bola hitam yang dinamakan Gantz dan beberapa orang yang masih terheran-heran. Kemudian ada suara radio terdengar dan muncul kalimat “Your lives have ended. What you do with your new lives is entirely up to me”. Lalu bola hitam tersebut terbuka dan memunculkan beberapa equipment seperti black suit, yang memungkinkan mereka memiliki kekuatan,kecepatan dan kelincahan diatas manusia biasa, lalu ada beberapa senjata mutakhir seperti X-Gun,Y-Gun,X-Rifle, Gantz Sword dan H-Gun.
